I always look forward to posting Super Bowl recipes because I love snacking and I love football food. We have made plenty of wings at our house over the years. A simple brine and this amazing homemade rub make these the best grilled wings. I hope you try them.

Super Bowl Food---Tonja's Table Favorite Grilled Wings

Ingredients
- For the Brine:
- 2 quarts water
- 2 Tbls. kosher salt
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- For the Chicken Rub:
- 2 Tbls. smoked paprika
- 2 Tbls. onion powder
- 2 Tbls. kosher salt
- 2 Tbls. light brown sugar, packed
- 1 Tbls. chili powder
- 1 Tbls. paprika
- 1 Tbls. cumin
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper - (less if you're worried about the heat level)
- 1 tsp. dried mustard powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 lbs chicken wings, thawed completely if using a frozen bag
Instructions
- To Brine Chicken Wings:
- Combine the water, salt, and brown sugar in a large container. Add the chicken, cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
- When you are ready to grill, preheat grill to Medium-high heat. Take chicken wings out of the brine, place on a cookie sheet and pat it dry on paper towels.
- Next, place chicken in a large bowl and add half of the rub (you will have leftover rub). Toss wings to coat thoroughly.
- When grill is preheated, grill wings, for 20 minutes, rotating every 5 minutes.
- Serve with BBQ, blue cheese, ranch, or your favorite sauce.
