What to Make with Grilled Anything—Steak Fries!

March 31, 2020 by Tonja Leave a Comment

The sun is shining through our sun room and I am SO grateful!  Hopefully you are finding ways to be content at home.  With the sunny and warmer weather this week, grilling has become one of our family “activities” for dinner.  We can get outside, breathe fresh air, and enjoy cooking together.

Steak fries go with absolutely anything you feel like grilling. This healthier version of french fries uses flour, olive oil, and plenty of spices to create a crispy crust on the outside and fluffy potato on the inside.

I hope this gives you another easy dinner idea for you and your family.

Be safe and be well.

Ingredients

Scale

2 1/2 pounds of russet potatoes (I used 4 large)

1/4 cup olivie oil

3 Tbls. flour

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/4 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. oregano

1/4 tsp. paprika

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cut potatoes into wedges approximately one inch thick (6-8 wedges per potato depending on how big).
Place wedges in a large bowl and add oil, flour and all seasonings. Toss to evenly coat.
Place wedges on a baking sheet and spread out evenly.
Bake for 20 minutes and then flip wedges. Cook an additional 5-10 minutes, or until done.
