Ingredients

Scale

1 large onion, chopped

5 garlic cloves, peeled and smashed

1 3-4 pound round roast

1/4 cup butter

1 tsp. each salt and pepper

1 Tbls. Montreal Steak Seasoning

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

1 Tbls. rosemary, minced

1 Tbls. sage, minced

1 cup beef stock

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup dry white wine

2 Tbls. Worcestershire sauce

1 package hoagie rolls

Instructions

Place onions and garlic in slow-cooker.  Lay roast on top. Add remaining ingredients and cook on high for 7-8 hours until meat is fork tender and falling apart.

Shred meat with two forks in the slow-cooker and turn heat to warm.

Turn oven to broil.  Butter hoagie rolls and place in oven until toasted 1-2 minutes.  Remove from oven and place heaping spoonful of beef onto the sandwiches.  Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of beef.  Transfer back to broiler for one minute until the cheese is melted.

Remove and serve immediately.

I made your garlic beef sandwiches and they were a huge hit with my family. What a delicious flavor and very easy too. Thanks for the great recipe that I’ll make again and again!

A pasta salad, coleslaw or roasted potatoes would all be great!
