Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boxes Ghiradelli Chocolate Chip brownie mix + ingredients on box
  • 2 pounds strawberries
  • For the Whipped Cream:
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • For the Nutella Mousse:
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 2 T butter, melted
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Make the brownies according to the package in two 8×8 pans. Cool completely. Cut into 1-inch bite sized squares.
  2. Next, in a large bowl mix together the cream, cream cheese and sugar. Mix on medium speed until a peak forms (about 3 to 5 minutes). Chill in refrigerator until assembly.
  3. For the Nutella mousse, mix Nutella and melted butter in a bowl. Then in a mixing bowl add whipping cream and sugar. Mix on medium speed until a peak forms (about 3 to 5 minutes). Fold half of the Nutella mixture into the whipped cream and mix. Once combined, add the rest of the Nutella and mix until fully incorporated. Chill in refrigerator until assembly.
  4. Slice strawberries into thin slices, reserving a dozen whole strawberries for the top to garnish.
  5. Once all your layers are ready begin layering into a trifle dish. Start with a layer of brownies, followed by half the whipped cream, then another layer of brownies, and then all of the Nutella mousse. Add all the sliced strawberries atop the mousse and then the final layer of brownies. Finish with the whipped cream and garnish with whole strawberries.
