It’s the summer slide at our house. The dog days of summer are here and even I don’t feel like heating up the kitchen. So here is the most delicious way to have dinner when you don’t feel like cooking. A Charcuterie and Cheese platter. One platter, four food groups, a glass of Rose’— no utensils needed.
When selecting the cheese, I like to include a variety of textures and flavors. Most cheese belongs to one of four basic categories: aged, soft, firm, or blue. For a good variety, choose at least one from each group. Here’s the spread, now dig in and enjoy.
Aged: SharpCheddar
Soft: Honey Goat Cheese
Firm: Mini Basque
Blue: Stilton
Your can find everything on my platter from Trader Joes. They are reasonably priced and delicious.
