Twin Cities Food Author Nabs Prestigious Cookbook Award
MINNEAPOLIS, October 19, 2017—Author and renowned food blogger Tonja Engen has been awarded the silver medal in the general cookbook category for her book Tonja’s Table: Menus and Recipes for Every Occasion at the 2017 Living Now Awards. Now in it’s ninth year, the Living Now Awards celebrate “the year’s best books that help readers attain healthier, more fulfilling, and productive lives.”
“When we first began working with Tonja Engen on the publication of Tonja’s Table, we at Wise Ink knew we were working on something special,” said co-founder of Wise Ink Publishing Dara Beevas. “The fact that the prestigious Living Now Awards has recognized Tonja’s book as among the best in the past year’s lifestyle books doesn’t surprise us one bit. About the author: After launching her food blog Tonja’s Table in 2011, award-winning author Tonja Engen’s following exploded with a loyal base of home cooks. Inspired by her blog’s success and ever-growing fan base, Engen launched her first-ever cookbook, Tonja’s Table: Menus and Recipes for Every Occasion in 2016. Engen spearheaded a successful catering business, Saucepan Sisters, and currently pens tasty recipes for a national parenting website. She continues to refine her cooking and entertaining techniques at events throughout the Twin Cities and in Edina, Minnesota, where she lives with her husband and two teenage children.
